Why is it acceptable for a man to wear long johns under his trousers or jeans, but not tights? Surely the only difference is that the tights have feet? Why are tights considered clothes for woman and not men? Is it okay for a man to wear tights under trousers then?

I had a bf who wore tights under his pants, sometimes with and sometimes without socks, depending on how opaque they were. He did complain about going to the bathroom in them though. He said they were warm; I never found tights under pants warm nor comfortable. I tried it a couple of times based on his experience. I think long johns are made to be looser for a guy's build. And don't they have flaps for you-know-what? And, btw, if you're wearing tights, skip the open toed pumps. :)

If you want to wear tights wear them there's no rule saying that tight's are exclusively for women if you find some you like wear them and don't worry about what others will say if you need an excuse for why your wearing them you can always say their long johns with feet

You can where whatever you want under your trousers! As long as you don't take them off in public, no one will ever know!
But tights are uncomfortable anyway - take it from a girly who knows!

I wear tights under my jeans and pants in the winter to stay warm. No one can tell so go for it, at least your legs AND feet will stay extra warm.
