We are having our wedding on July the fourth and I am fair skinned. I have less than five months to get an awesome tan and keep it up till after the wedding. My dress is white so I dont want to glow in the dark.I have bought a tanning package and lotions also I just found something called Malibu Hemp Golden Glow to help with the color. Any tips would be great like how many times a week to get the tan and then to keep it.

Well first of all you have to make sure you don't burn!! thats really bad for early aging! Also make sure you ask the person at the counter how new the bulbs are in the bed that you are about to go in, and try to keep to the same bed (if you're going to a place with a lot of beds.) Make sure you don't go in one that has been recently changed. Start by going about 4 min. If you don't burn or turn red, go up to 6,8,10. and so forth till you get to the max min the salon allows. Go every other day, if you go every day you will dry out your skin and burn and loose your tan quickly. If you shower everyday your tan will fade quicker! Make sure you use lotion before you tan and after you tan. Right when you get out of the shower. Once you have a good base, you can go twice a week to keep up your tan till the wedding then you can go how ever many times you want right before the wedding. Just don't over do it, rememeber you're wearing a white dress so you don't want to stand out to much and look fake. (I know once you start tanning and see how good you look and you just wanna get darker and darker) Good Luck!

Well use this time to wisely shop around for self tanners that look great on your skin. If you decide to use a gradual self tanner, like Jergens, my personal favorite, I would just begin using a few weeks before the wedding.

Apply your tanner in the evenings because many self-tanners smell and will easily rub off on your day or work clothes. Wear a simple pair of pjs with top and to protect your sheets and if you have old sheets place them on the bed instead to save them from tanner residue. You can also use a big towel to lay on top of if you don't have any old sheets to place onto the bed.

Make sure though that you wait at least 15 to 20 minutes before putting any clothes on. Because no matter what Tanners tell you about fast action its not true just be patient and wait for that wonderful glow that will make your experience more than worth it.

Be careful, don´t do it too often cause u may end up with skin cancer; its a fact!!!!!

Maybe you could try different sunless lotions to see what works best for you. I´m using Fast Brown Sunless by Australian Gold and it works great!!!

A tip, have lots of carrots or buy carrot capsules while you are tanning!!! It helps a lot because of the beta carotene.

Good luck, and take care!!!

Use a tanning lotion with bronzes and always moisturize. If i elect to maintain my tan longer, I stay remote from lotion with fragrance. Like bathtub & body Works. To get a sturdy base, pass tanning for variety of three days instantly. pass an afternoon and pass again. you should have a base equipped up by potential of then. be particular you take advantage of a sturdy lotion. Tanning creams truly count number.

Don't do it. Try the mystic (spray on) tan.
