A serious question for a change. I'm 22, love going out with my pals but i'd love to experience uni life. It'd mean i'd have to give up all the lads holidays, going out every weekend wherever i want etc. Whats your opinion, especially if you've done/doing a similar thing?

o jonny jonny! that depends what you really want out of life!
yeah ok i'll spare you all the serious stuff - of which i'm sure you'll have recieved many a lecture about- but what i can tell you is that almost every person at uni will tell you to GO GO GO!
giving up holidays and going out week ends??? yeah your right you will have to give that up... you;ll be out every night and on one permanent holiday!
Well maybe not!- but there will be plenty of time to have great fun and the work bit?... welll thats up to you but you'll be surrounded by people who will be willing to work alongside you and guide you through.
uni is just one part of your future... go out there .. try it. that way yuo'll find out for yourself. GOOD LUCK

Uni is far too expensive to go just for the experience. Go to uni if it helps you get the career you are interested in. Otherwise keep hanging out with your pals.

That is completely the wrong reason to go to uni. You should only go if you are serious about improving your education and career prospects. Just think of all the debt you would be getting into just to "experience uni life", sounds lame doesn't it?
