I wouldnt say depressed but it had me wondering if my life and the world around me got so dreary would I have gone to the same lenghts to escape it? Kind of depressing to a point because you felt bad that Ofelia had to grow up in such a dark and corrupt world that had her trying to get herself and newborn brother as far away as possible by any means necessary......but was it real or not? Thats the question.....

I was sick - emotionally shocked - after it. Anyone who thinks this is just a movie about a girl going to a fairytale world, has been misinformed. The meat of this movie, and boy! do they show it, is the torture and killing of people. It is as sick as I have seen.

I am not some wuss, but I was tortured when I was in the Service. The torture thing is pretty graphically implied. The killing and maiming is too. And the killing of children, need I say any more?

I am grossly worried about anyone who finds this movie wonderful.

If that was the movie with David Bowie years ago then yeah, I saw it but it didn't scar me. I actually can barely remember it.
