I think this is a bogus rumor. There is no way Belichick would leave the Patriots. Also, I don't think the Chargers want to lose so much for the compensation it would take to get Belichick. I think Pete Carrol would be a better option for the Chargers. They get the California hero, and he gets a great team and public support.

I think that Bill Belichick would be a great head coach for the Chargers. Unfortunately, no one knows where he is in his contract with the Patriots. Rumor has it that he is in the last year of his contract but nobody knows.
If they are rebuffed by Bill Belichick, maybe they should go after the "other" Bill that will be available next year..... Cowher. San Diego has built their team around a solid running game backed by a very good 3-4 defense. Does that sound like Cowher? I think it would be a very good fit. The question is, whill Cowher's wife let him leave the confines of North Carolina to go out west?
Finally, who cares what Philip Rivers 'demands.' Players should worry about playing. If they would restrict their concentration to that maybe the Chargers would have won a couple of Super Bowls already.

First of all, moves like that would be totally out of character for both LT and Rivers. Second, that would have the type of clout needed to make demands like this. Third, the Chargers probably wouldn't pay the money that Bilichick might want to come to San Diego.
It's most likely a bogus rumor. I live in San Diego and was listening to a sports talk show station and that rumor didn't even come up

Hahaha. What a great joke.
I know 4 sho that Belichick will not leave the Patriots unless he has been offered like all the money in the world. He has a great team that has not been recently going to the Super Bowl. I think he will work with the Patriots for another 2-3 years to get a few more rings. Or he will work for another 10-15 years and I will play QB under him. (lol)

Why would they want Belichick when THEY BEAT HIS celebrated 3-4 in the playoffs.
Only reason San Diego lost was cause of idiotic play of McCree with trying to return INT instead of downing it.
Belichick is not the master of anything.
Each Super Bowl that NE won, the offense pulled it out with a FG.
Belichicks masterful defenses don't win the games,
their OFFENSE led by Brady does.

Murdoch, why do you do this? Belichick has a great thing in New England and would only leave to retire. Rivers and LT would be living in a dream world if they think they can get Belichick.

Rumors are circulating out of your brain. LT has way too much class to go up and DEMAND an owner to do anything. He may have thrown it out there as a suggestion, but he wouldn't demand that of an owner. And Phillip Rivers is only going into his second year in the league as a starter. He needs to shut up and do what he's told.

Do I think Rivers and LT might have demanded it? Sure, why not, nothing out of the ordinary about outlandish demands.
Though the odds of the Pats letting him leave, similar to when Parcells left them for the Jets...well, that would be downright funny and something that could potentially kill an ongoing dynasty team.
