Ok, first, look down right to the status bar. You see something with a little magnifying icon with a plus sign on it. Beside it, it says 100% or 50% or 75%, 125%, 150%, 200%, 400%. Click on it, and it brings you to whatever size you want. If that doesn't work, Close or minimize any of the programs you have. On the plain screen, right click on your mouse (or since you have a labtop, the "right click" button under the mouse pad, and click properties, and "Display Properties pops up, when it pops up, your on the button themes, go all the way to the end and you see the button "settings", it shows you a picture of your screen, if you look down a little bit, you see "screen resolution", and then in that little box, you see the words "less" and "more" underneath that, there the size you have now, just move the little button to the size you want. -Natalia

Resolution probably changed...
Rightclick the desktop and go to properties then to the settings tab where theres a slider that will slide to diffrent resolutions...
the bigger the numbers the smaller things will be on screen...

Right click anywhere in the empty area on your desktop.
Choose 'properties' and set the resolution. The higher the resolution the smaller your icons look (and the prettier your background pics will be).
