I called her niece's mother, and I've been called everything except my name. I tried to do the right thing but now I feel like I should have stayed out of it...The niece is 20 yrs old, and evryone in my friends family is calling my house. And to the reader that listed all my past questions DONT JUDGE!!!!!!!!! t

Some times when a person does the "right" thing and it backfires and your made to feel like the bad guy, you just want to take it all back...don't brow beat yourself. You did what a normal caring person would do. The niece was being taken advantage of in both homes and I don't care what age the girl is, her mother needed to know the truth. The longer everyone kept it quiet the longer the abuse on the poor girl would continue.

So, by informing the niece's mother that she had become pregnant by her uncle, you have become the object of the mother's anger? I do not understand that. I would think that the response would be more along the lines of, "Well, that sucks, but thank you so much for telling me." All you have done is provide information. When people call, tell them that. You had nothing to do with any choices anyone made. Stay strong, and don't get sucked into screaming matches, accusations, or insults.
