Hey! Don't blame all women - maybe you've just got an unromatic wife!
I'm cooking scrabbled eggs with smoked salmon on muffins served with fresh OJ on a tray with a red rose and a Valentine's Day little cake for a surprise in the morning.
Then I've secretly booked the afternoon off work to get my hair done and buy a special outfit.
I'm then heading off early to cook a fabulous meal. Will do the house up with candles and find some nice music.
Bought him a lovely new shirt and silk tie, plus a box of chocolate gingers (his favourite).
Then there's a special treat for dessert!
Now tell me it's the men who make all the effort on V Day!!!!!!!

You know what?! Most guys don't make and effort and A LOT of women do. I once had a boyfriend who I gave a card and a small gift to every day for a week leading up to Valentine's day and a big gift on Valentine's day. AND guess what? He didn't get me a single thing! NOTHING! He said that he didn't know that valentine's day was that important to me. Some guys are jerks and don't realize what they have. Now, take back what you said! My current boyfriend does get treated like a king, cause he's good to me and appreciates me.

I agree with you some what. I think valentines day should be for men and women. This is a day to celebrate love, relationships, and friends. I think women should make some effort to show her man how much she cares. Why not send your man flowers on the job, or treat him to dinner. I just started dating someone, and i was thinking of writing him a poem, giving him a box of candy, and a rose and put it on his car window. Just something simple, just to tell him how much I care. Men should be appreciated as well as women. I understand where you are coming from, she should treat you like a king and you should treat her like a queen. Women get so mad when there man don't get them anything for the V'day. I think some men are tired of the holiday because women don't give them flowers or candy. If you both share this holiday it will be good for the both of you. As for all of you do something special for your man, he does things for you. Why not cater to him on this day also. Good luck!!
I'm not taking anything back! Some women don't understand men. Men will be men whether you like it or not. Not trying to be mean, but some men are not into the valentines day fever. Especially if you are starting out, you need to ask him if he is into the holiday. Women do too much, and expect too much. They end up not getting anything, which is heart breaking. I know honey I been there. Keep it simple, don't do too much and don't expect too much. If you did get him something, hell wait until you see what he got you. If he didn't get you anything take it back and get a refund. Like i said men will be men.

Im sorry you feel that way! That shouldn't be how it is. I have always felt that Valentines day is for both partners to show how muhc you love each other. I have no idea what my man has planned for tomorrow, if anything, but I am very excited to do what I have planned for him! I am looking forward to doing what I have planned for him more than what he has gotten for me, I think thats how it should be. I hope you and your wife have a wonderful day together, I hope she gets something nice for you.

We make the effort for the other 364 days!
And you shouldn't all need telling but... So there is just one day, which you are publicly warned of many weeks in advance, to try to get it right. OK?!

Because you're prob treated like a king all year!!
But most of all - didn't you know that, sexual desire in a woman starts in the mind! so its worth making the effort !!

It is one day of the year,I expect your wife thinks she can look after you for 364 days, one day is nothing.
Do you treat her like a queen??, if not try it,you will be surprised at the outcome.

Because it goes back to more traditional times when men were supposed to court women. This was their way of saying "will you be my sweetie?" Ofcourse now, these kind of holidays have gotten way out of hand and are strictly a way for candy, card and flower companies to profit.
