Atlas Shrugged, Brave New World, East of Eden, For Whom the Bell Tolls,Catcher in the Rye, Breakfast of Champions, Life of Pi, and The Kite Runner. When I was a kid there was no Harry Potter so I enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia and the S.E. Hinton books.

A good if often asked Q. Favorite is hard to define given the millions of books available, but a valid poll; and the few that have been read individually. With no disrespect meant, I pose a question.
No matter ones reading level or interest, if somehow there was only ONE book available to read, might not it become a favorite of the masses, or discounted by a choice to remain ignorant?
I have to tell you,,, smile. I enjoy the story as well, though not strictly on a deep level. J.K. Happens to also enjoy "Harry" though not strictly selfishly. Harry has made her at least as popular as HE is.
Enjoy!

The Neverending Story by Michael Ende
But, I love Terry Pratchet's books, Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, I have read all of Harry Potter. I love fantasies. And love stories.
