How many Conservative can you point to that said Negotiations Never Work? And lets be clear here, we could have negotiated with Kim Jong until we were blue in the face and there would have been no movement. The real coup came from getting China involved in the process. It has always been acknowledged by the administration that having China play a key role in any talks would be the key to getting N Korea to give concessions.

The main difference between N. Korea and Iraq is cars don't run on cabbage, but they do run on oil. Oh yeah, the other difference is N. Korea actually has WMDs.
Also, they have not successfully negotiated anything. All that was agreed was to go back to the negotiating table. Time will tell if anything results from it.

You can't negotiate with North Korea. Clinton failed, Bush will fail and the next president will also fail. The best they can do is to try to keep the peace and to let their asian neighbors deal with this problem.
