It is a brightly colored piece with some detail. Huge porcelain statue- can I put it outside? How protected does it have to be?

Hey Jennifer,

Yes, of course you can, but the colors will eventually fade. If it were in the shade somewhat, then the water would be the main concern (other than bird droppings).

If where you live has freezing temperatures in the winter time this will crack the statue. The sun will also fade it and discolor it if it will be in direct sun light. If nothing else you could put it in the shade somewhere if you have that and bring it in during winter if the temperature is too cold.

It will break if it freezes. You could put it outside in the summer when chance of frost/ice is over.
