It's pretty selfish of you to say that. On Valentines day you should show her how you feel about her. A present does not have to be a material thing. You could write her a cheesy poem as a present. You don't have to spend lots of money.

No gift ideas eh? just remember not everything on valentines day has to be bought...
expecting material things out of a person is selfish, but if all they are asking for is a little bit extra affection as confirmation that you love them ... why not just give a lil, it usualy means worlds to them.

How do you know you are a good man?
You honor the respect and appreciation she gives you on Valentines day. You are enough, and you should be thankful.

On one level; yes. But Valentine's Day is a day to underscore relationships and to celebrate them. People do that with gifts and cards or a nice dinner. It makes things that much more special.

Selfish or not, thats the way it is. If you can't deliver some serious bling, you're a pile of garbage in a woman's eyes. Nothing wrong with that.

No. You treat your girl right for V day. Get her nice stuff, treat her nice, do everything you can for her. Because trust me, if you don't, somebody else will. Sooner or later, a woman wants to be a princess in the eyes of the man she loves. You have to treat her like that.
