Some people find that sunless tanning treatments (both over-the-counter lotions and sprays and in-salon types of treatments) can help cover up stretch marks. Although there are tons of creams and other skin products on the market that claim to eliminate stretch marks, the truth is that most are ineffective and often costly. You can't make stretch marks go away entirely without the help of a dermatologist (a doctor who specializes in treating skin problems) or plastic surgeon. These doctors may use one of many types of treatments - from actual surgery to techniques such as microdermabrasion and laser treatment - that reduce the appearance of stretch marks. These techniques are expensive and are not usually recommended for people in their teen years because they are not finished growing and their stretch marks will probably diminish over time anyway.

Sorry to tell you this but other than surgery there is no way to get totally rid of them. There are alot of creams out there though that can lighten them up alot a tighten your skin a little. Coco butter is an inexpensive cream. Its just a little thicke. There is a cream sold in the Avon magazine for stretch marks. I've been using it for a few weeks and I can see a difference. The only thing about any cream you buy is that you must put it on every single day. Thats the only way that it will work.

Good Luck!

There is nothing you can do to get rid of them accept a tummy tuck I got pregnant at 16 and was tiny, so I got them bad. My doctor said its because my body was not ready to stretch that much. I am now 28 and have checked into everything and gone to dermatologist, they all say the same thing, there is nothing you can do. Stretch marks come from the inside of your skin and eventually show outward. So you can't do peals or anything cause it has already gone through each layer of your skin and it would just make it show up more. Over time they will lighten up, and some lotions like vitamin e and cocoa butter can help the process speed along, and help the to cut down your scratching, cause it does itch while in the process of stretching, but really it will just be a reminder of either how much weight you have gained or lost, or of a pregnancy. Enjoy them, lol! Good Luck!

I've always heard that cocoa butter works. I used it throughout my pregnancy and it did help.
