gega means billion and actually it equals 2^30 =1073741824
byte is a unit for data size measurement = 8 bit. each bit is one or zero
any letter on the key board is equivelant to one byte

Possibly you might be referring to GIGABYTE? I think that one GIG means a million, so that would be a million bytes of data info.
I think a byte is 1024 bits? Not 100% sure.

you have got the question wrong.it should be what does gb stands for.Gigabyte is1000mb.1 mb is 1000kb.Ikb is 1000byte.I byte is 8 bits
