1- don't drink any coffee pepsi or tea at least an hour before you go to sleep
2- wash your pillow cloth with lavender scented fabric wash...lavender helps people go to sleep.
3- take a warm shower before going to bed, it helps the muscles relax.
4- drink something warm like chamomile or any herbal soothing drink. but don't drink right before you go to sleep so you wont have to wake up in the middle of your sleep to use the loo
5- don't store anything under your bed.

that's what i got now...if i think of anything else I'll come back to edit my answer.

good luck in your exams and hopefully you'll start sleeping well soon.

Are you getting enough sleep? Be sure that you're getting 8 hours of sleep a night (not too much more though, or it could make you more tired!). Count back 8 hours from when you plan to wake up, and that should be what time you go to bed. Not what time you start getting ready to go to bed, but what time you actually do turn off your lights and go to sleep. Stop any homework or whatever you need to do about 30-60 minutes before, and start getting ready... drink some tea, relax, etc. Don't listen to music or watch TV while you're in bed either; that will just disrupt your sleep and make you feel like you currently do when you wake up. If getting 8 hours of sleep still makes you feel like that, you could talk to your doctor and he/she could prescribe you a sleep-aid. But when you take those, it's REALLY important that you have at least 8 hours to devote to sleep every night.

The day before do not consume chocolate, coffee, teas with caffeine or guava, or alcohol.

Do consider having warm milk, chamomile, or a half cup of kava kava tea.

Do not do anything before bedtime that will cause stress or anxiety before bedtime.

Do not study 2 hours before bedtime if it causes anxiety.

Do not eat more than a small snack 3 hours before bedtime.

Do not eat ANYTHING one hour before bedtime.

If you need the television on to sleep, turn the volume as low as possible. You should have to lie still to hear it.

I hope this helps. All of these have worked for me. Good luck!
