Because their "characters in the story line" portray them this way...I feel it is a negative also!!! There have been many successful African-American teams who did not need a criminal image...Doom...Harlem Heat....

Vince does not pay well for all the work that goes into wrestling. Things like traveling, body building, preparing for matches, meeting fans. They don't get pay nothing!

Because it is a storyline. Of course Vince is paying them enough. But their characters are thugs from Brooklyn.

Because they are trying to get money in case they get hurt as WWE does not have a health plan and thus if they get surgery is coming out of their pockets.
