I dated a "straight" woman for 6 months during which time we slept together at least 5o times or more. Recently after 6 month of being in a relationship, she says that she is not gay or bi, so she broke it off with me. I am not only hurt, but confused as well. Has anybody ever heard of a situation like mine? Is this possibe?

Yes it's possible. Lesbian sex does not a lesbian or bisexual make. There has to be the desire and attraction to same gender for it to kick in.

I've slept with plenty of "straight" women but never dated one.

Since there are lesbians who have relationships with men, even get married to them, before coming out, I assume that the reverse can also happen. Plenty of girls call themselves bi in college, then settle into a straight lifestyle and turn their backs on the queer community. Or, your ex is in denial - she's straight like Ted Haggard is straight. These matters of identity are more complicated than just what sexual behavior one engages in.

The ex girlfriend who later denies she is a gay is actually something of a stock character in lesbian literature. Off the top of my head, you'll find her in Rubyfruit Jungle and Tipping the Velvet.

Im sure it happens all the time. She is gay, once you slept with the same sex, you are gay. Period!
"Experimenting" is just an excuse. Shes probably
Bi Sexual. You had a 6 month relationship, its over - find someone else.

First of all, you have to answer a question, during sleeping time together have you ever had sex? If so, it was good for both of you? If you answer affirmatively, she is gay. Maybe she started another relationship, and the best way to dump you was that. Shame on her, if was that.
