If you want to have a powerful headlamp, you need to use a bulb with higher rating than you are using now, but that bulb should get the extra power to glow with full efficiency from your existing dynamo. Try if you can get a 50 watt bulb which is sutable to your holder, and change.

SIMPLY PUTTING ON A HIGHER WATTAGE BULB WONT HELP.U WILL HAVE 2 REWIND THE COIL WITH A HIGHER GAUGE WIRE.I SUGGEST U STICK WITH THE EXISTING ONES.IF U KNOW A MECHANIC WHO IS WELL VERSED WITH THIS KIND OF JOB THEN GO AHEAD . OTHERWISE STICK TO THE PRESENT SET UP.
