I am coming up with one number off.... algebra?

I am coming up with 3ab^2 -2

The book is telling me 3ab^2 - 3

Who is right?

You probably forgot or made a mistake in the second part of expression: you have article 3a^2b^2 divided by 3a^2b^2, which equals 1, and it is difference between your and the answer from the book.
