Are there any cities in the NBA that really do not deserve to keep their team? All of the teams seem to be doing very well at the box office, so the fan support is definitely there in each market. If I had to choose, I would have to say Seattle; they're embroiled in an arena controversy of their own.
However, if there was a team out there that's looking to relocate; three cities which would instantly contend would be Kansas City, Oklahoma City and maybe Las Vegas. We'll know more about Vegas after the All-Star Weekend is finished and the NBA gives their reviews. However, I think Las Vegas if it is going to get an NBA franchise either through expansion or relocation, the city would have to replace the Thomas and Mack Center for a new arena with all the bells and whistles.

yes, i think there are a few teams...one of them being the LA clippers. over the past few years they have been getting better but they have been a complete joke for who knows how long. LA already has the lakers they dont need two teams in one city specially sinse one is terrible and one is good. N.O. hornets dont deserve it there either, they need to be relocated to a city where the fans actually care about basketball. i would of said the charlotte bobcats before the beginning of the season, but i think they are trying to build their team into playoff contention into the very near future so they can stay...hope that answers your question

the atlanta hawks. this team has been in the doldrums for at least 10 seasons. slightly before that, it was a first-round exit team from the playoffs at best. this franchise and city has not seen excitement in the form of basketball since the hay-days of dominique wilkins. the fan support isn't there (why would it be?) and i'm sure david stern would love to ship this team to somewhere it could bring in some real revenue. i can't say which city that might be, but one thing is clear: the hawks need to be put out of their misery ASAP.

Seattle, WA The previous homestead of the Supersonics (now the ok Thunder) and because no person in Seattle needed to work out them circulate to Oklahoma, it nevertheless possesses an astonishing fan base. additionally, the KeyArena remains there and it won't be getting used very plenty. So...Seattle possesses a great fan base, long status basketball historic previous, latest basketball facility...did I omit something? Runner-ups: St Louis Las Vegas

No way in hell there should be an NBA team in Toronto. This isn't the International Basketball Association. Utah really shouldn't have a team either.

Atlanta would top my list. Though they have had success in football and baseball they are not a sports town. The basketball team when I have watched games, never has had "rocking" sell out crowds.
I think it comes from lots of people who live in an around Atlanta are not originally from that area. They moved down there for opportunity and growth. So most people still continue to follow their "home" teams. I have kin that has moved to Atlanta and they are still Philly fans.

I think the people of Indianapolis are at the point where they wouldn't mind giving away their NBA team. Too much bad press has hurt the Pacer's image.

well it would have to be the east tems more likely than the west teams like: the boston celtics 18 losing streak come on you think they could at least win one before the all-star break. also the memphis whatever they are called. new orleans, charlotte, phily and atl
