Just bought a new PC so that we can give the previous one to my son. The previous PC didnt require me to type the WWW before the website name, but this new one does. Not sure why??? When typing any website, I am required to type the full website. EX. www.yahoo.com. Please help. I don't recall ever setting the previous PC up to access websites without typing it in. I could just type on the website name (yahoo.com) and it would just take me there. That was on the old PC, but the new one won't do this.

In Internet Explorer, type in the name of the site, ie. Yahoo, then hold down the Control Key (Ctrl) and push Enter at the same time. Chow.
