The best thing to take whilst you have a cold in paracetamol.

Also buy some jaffa oranges. They have the Vitamin C your body needs to help speed up the recovery. You could buy a lemon or 2. Squeeze the lemon juice into a cup and add hot water. Again this has the vitamins in you need.

If the cold gets worse consult your doctor.

Vicks Vapor Rub, only!!! Just apply it under your nose, chest, and make sure to put cloth's over those area's, and drink clear fluids, like lots of water, decaf tea's, and the like! Get a humidifier, and put vicks, in it, and with a towel over your head , breathe in the water mist, as often as possible. And before you know it, you are going to be just fine!! Its "Safe" for the baby, and as "Effective" as can be!! My whole family swears by this method of getting better, from any sorts of colds, flu's, pnemonia, and the like. My sister & her husband, both have gotten completely rid of pnemonia, from this method! And didn't even go to the doctor for it, because they've used it so many times for when they've had "Cold's", they knew it woud also work for pnemonia! And by golly it sure did!! KID you NOT!!! That's how wonderful and inexpensive, and safe it is!!! Good Luck to you, and "Congratulations" to you & yours!! Smile!! Hope you feel better soon!

Have you been to see your Dr? Nasonex, vicks and halls is probably the only thing you can take. Talk to a pharmacist if you don't go and see your Dr. Try and get rid of it before delivery because if you still have problems breathing and you deliver you will have problems pushing and catching your breath. I hope it goes away soon! Rest lots!

Sudafed if you're stuffy, Robitussin for a cough. I asked my doctor and she recommended Paracetemol, but I didn't understand her at the time (she's German, I'm not, and I couldn't decipher the handwriting she gave me), but I'm not sure what medications this is found in, you would have to look or ask your pharmacist that one. Consult your doctor to be safe.

heres what I found on babycenter.com:

The antihistamines chlorpheniramine, loratadine, doxylamine, brompheniramine, phenindamine, pheniramine, triprolidine, and diphenhydramine are considered low risk during pregnancy, but they can make you sleepy, especially doxylamine and diphenhydramine.

The expectorant guaifenesin thins mucous secretions in the respiratory passages, making it easier to cough them up. While some studies have found an increased risk of inguinal hernias in babies exposed to this drug, others have not.

The cough suppressant dextromethorphan got some bad press after one study found that it caused birth defects in chick embryos, but this study had many flaws and is generally not given much credibility. What's more, some good studies of women who took the drug during pregnancy have found that it doesn't raise the risk of birth defects in humans.

The local anesthetic benzocaine is combined with dextromethorphan in one product to treat sore throats. Benzocaine doesn't get into the bloodstream, so it doesn't pose a risk to a developing baby.

The pain reliever and fever reducer acetaminophen has been well studied. It's considered safe to take during pregnancy as long as you take no more than the dose recommended on the label.
