Being a big Celtics fan myself I feel trading there young and very talented guys for an aged player would be a mistake. There playing for the draft in my opinion. Picture this , pierce/west/allen/green/Jefferson and Greg Oden or Kevin Durant. that would be a team of playoff contenders year 1 and for the long future. Getting Antoine back would just get them into the playoffs and an early out. there building for the future but they need another Paul Pierce type of guy and that means a high draft choice. Antoine has proven he's not.

well i think they actually have a good young team, all they need to do is develop the young players like gerald green into a better player and scores along side Paul Pierce. Trading for Durant or Oden would be a great idea. But i would fancy Greg Oden as he is a steady scorer and reboarder.

There is no point of trading future players for a season that is already over for them. Even with the first pick they may only be the 8th team in the east. It will take a couple of years for them to be a top 4 team.

Because they don't want to regret it down the road when those young player reach their possible potential. And Antoine is not the answer, he's only good for chucking up bad shots.

they keep their young talent to build for the future. they are now playing for the draft. if they trade their young talent for veterans, that wont thelp them. because if they trade for vets, more than likely it will be people past their prime. if they keep young they will be ready to be playoff contention in the next few years. vets are made to take teams into the playoffs and build a team. and right now there is no possible way they can make it to the playoffs this year, they are horrible...hope that answers your question

The Cetlics are not goin to make any moves to improve their team. Danny Ainge would like nothing more for them to continue losing and win the the most ping pong balls for the Olden sweepstakes.
Being from Philly, kinda wish my team would stop playing well. LOL

They don't have Auerbach any more so they need to depend on Ainge. This is not a fair trade off. Hopefully they will draft durant.

I agree... I think Paul & Antoine were grerat together, it's their supporting cast who didn't mesh well.
