If she is angry when she says it, she might just be blowing off steam.
If she is calm, then you probably should believe her. She either means it or she wants to get rid of you, in either case it's time to let it go.

Hmmm.. good question. I think its a typical male or female reaction to help sever the connection between 2 people who were once very close. Unless she totally used you for your status or money etc.. then no don't believe her if she wasn't a gold digger shes probably fibbing..

Well if she said she loved you before she still does. She doesn't want you to know the truth at the moment. She still has feelings for you.
If she never did say she loved you, then she doesn't.
