here's the thing, I am 19 years old, married and pregnant. I realized that i don't know myself and i was wondering if there are any people out there that found themselves and can help get me started on my search to figure out who i am... i mean i know who i've been.... just i lost it somewhere in the transition from high school to marriage and motherhood.

(please no judgemental stuff about "too young to be married/pregnant" "so stupid" or anything like that... thanks)

To know yourself, you need to analyze yourself. What makes you happy, your hopes your dreams. A good way to start analyzing is by making a list of your good qualities, and another list of what you perceive as areas you need help in. When you are finished with the list, look it over and start asking "why" and really think about the reasons. I think we all go through periods when we wonder who we are, or what our purpose really is. I think it's normal to wonder and explore our existence. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Some people's quests to find themselves are a life long goal. You have lost your authentic self, it gets buried within you for many reasons. This book will change your life, I read it and that is how I found myself. It is called "Self Matters" by Dr. Phil. Any bookstore has it or you can buy it on Amazon for super cheap. It shows you how to tap into it and it is truly amazing. You sound like me, I was getting ready to have my first child and wondered who I was. Congratulations on your baby, He/she will change your life in so many positive ways. Babies are a blessing from God.

Good luck

I suggest you set goals for yourself: education goals or financial goals or just goals for what you want to be doing in one year. Work towards them. Whether or not you are able to accomplish them is not the point. When you try to work towards something you'll see what kind of person you are. You may change your mind about the goals as you work towards them. That's fine. That'll tell you something too. But keep setting goals and trying hard at them everyday.

Good luck.

Well, I know myself because of my past. Bad situations happened, that made me a better and stronger person.
