My mama told me that every day of my life. I'm 45 and she STILL tells me that. She says "Girl, you best hush your mouth right now before I give you a reason to be caterwallin'". By the way, what is "caterwallin"?

I've been told to 'Be quiet' by my mother, and 'shut up' by freinds and enemies - but never to hush my mouth.

Yeah,once when I was in the fourth grade,my teacher told me that,kind of traumatizing!Still remember after alot of years!!!!!!!!
