My daughter was eating 4 oz. every 4 hours. You really shouldn't be feeding her cereal yet and you especially shouldn't be putting it in her bottle. If the formula doesn't seem to be filling her up, then start offering her more formula, say 5 or 6 oz.

My son is a month old and takes 2-3 ounces during the day and sleeps for 3 hours at a time, but during the middle of the night, he wants to eat 3-4 ounces about every 1.5-2 hours and sometimes stays awake till the next feeding. I am not getting very much sleep during the night at all. Don't listen to others about the rice cereal. Rice is not bad for babies unlike the oatmeal kind. In fact if any animal is sick because of a digestion problem, rice is always used because it doesn't take much digestion but can fill you up. You are doing the right thing and don't forget that the feeding also depends on the baby's weight. No 2 babies are the same and they grow differently and have different needs. People on these baby boards seem to forget that sometimes when answering and think they know what is best. I had cereal at about 1-2 months old before bed time and i turned out just fine. So did my sister, nephews, niece, and most of my friends kids.

My daughter took 2 ounces every 3 hours till she was 2 months old then she went up to 4 ounces and at 4 ounces I was putting rice in with the bottle too the doctors told me to do that actually. Don't listen to anyone that is telling you that rice in the bottle is going to hurt your baby because it's not going to! I think anywhere from 2 to 4 oz every 3 or 4 hours is about what your baby should be taking right now.

My daughter is one month old, and she takes anywhere from 4-6 ounces per feeding. I'm about to start feeding her cereal and table foods, too, cause she's obviously not getting enough from her formula!!

The standard is that babies bottle in ounces should be equal to half of their body weight and total number of ounces within 24 hours at least twice your baby's weight.
