Maybe they figure most people are out on the weekdays and weekends, running errands, going shopping, doing stuff and therefore it doesn't matter what they put on TV. But I think TV all week long is bad. Makes me wonder why the heck I pay for cable, when there is only news, politics, sports and other things that may interest some people but not me. They use the summer to test new programs on us that usually aren't that great, and all the good stuff comes later. Then there is football, which is really popular among the guys but for some of us (who aren't football fans) it means there will be even less to watch.
I hope this help!!! :D

TV is not bad. Like any tool it's as good or bad as the user. Saying TV is bad is like saying fire is bad. While fire can burn down your house it can also cook your food. There is a lot of good that can come from TV if it's used properly. It can give an over stressed mom a break if she puts in a video in and lets the kids watch while she rests. There is a lot of educational programming that could help you with history reports, science reports, and a plethora of other subjects. So don't call TV bad, call the people that abuse it bad. Besides, an inanimate object can not be bad or good only there.

The television has brought much more to the world than the ability to be informed or entertained...It has brought death and destruction...Not only has it brought death into our homes by visually seeing the death and destruction that is going on in the world...but it has also brought death and destruction into families just by it's presence period...There was a time that families and neighbors relied on each other for entertainment...but the television has brought an end to that...neighbors no longer being neighbors...and family...well...it is a sad remnant of what it use to be...no longer are parents and children interacting in the evenings...talking about eachother's day...no longer are father's throwing balls to their son's at the end of a work day or going to the river and fishing for an hour or so...no longer are mother's showing their daughter's how to sew...or sitting together on the porch after dinner is finished and cleared...no longer is grandma and grandpa being visited on week-ends, they are so alone...no longer are aunt's, uncle's and cousin's a big part of family life...the need to interact has been replace by television....it is a mindless activity that requires nothing from you...

It is often said that "TV is bad". This viewpoint is support by evidence of increased violence and obesity in children. However, T.V. (television) is not the real problem. The problem is our society's dependence on it as a sole source of entertainment and information.
