As most all of the white Midwest Americans are of German descent, me included. I can tell you, we, they are predominantly German Catholics and have the same morals as good Americans.

The earlier responder has a point.

However, most individuals in the Midwest have a narrow-minded view of the world. This is contrary to most contemporary Germans. Like most of the rest of Europe, they are quite open-minded to many things. They have morals, yes, but not cookie-cutter morals.

You have to remember that he's pretty much just like any other guy. He has his individual wants and needs. There's probably not much you can do to offend him other than bring up the Nazi regime during WW II (most Germans feel disgraced about it).

On a funny note, avoid saying "I'm hot." say "It feels hot to me." instead. In Germany, "Ich bin heiss." means you're ready to jump into bed with him. "Es ist mir heiss." means that the sun is beating down on you a little bit and you'd like to step into the shade.

*gglz* Good luck, sweetie.
