I guess your asking how to enjoy a cut rose longer. Keep it in a cool moist place at night. Your refrigerator or cool ( 40) degreee place if possible cover it to keep wind (drying problem) away. Think about the place the florist has for keeping them.

Besides what you said put a little sugar in the water about half teaspoon to a pint of water.

Stick it in the freezer, if you live in Scotland just leave it outside.

a little lemonade in the water will make your rose last longer, dunno why but it works!
