Development is not to be seen in terms what you see in the Cities. or what you see in the individuals of a particular religion or caste or a race.
Go to rural areas, Villages, in any of the states in India. Walk around in the slums or where the landless labours or bonded labours live.
Then you will realise, how may centuries this country will have to wait for the real development.
Development is not something that can be talked of with lot of pride and proud sitting in Bungalows or sitting in high Chairs.
Long Live Indian Democracy.... We do not have a politican like Subash or Patel or Sastri or Rajendra Prasad or Ambedkar, now.
We are the only country, where all rules are broken and the law breakers get scot free. Neither in US ( a democracy) nor In China ( a Communist country) nor in UAE ( a Monarchy) nor in Cuba ( a dictator's country), a criminal or rapist or a murderer or a corrupt official or politician or an immoral business man can escape and walk free from the Court and continue to do what he was doing earlier.
Earlier we were ruled by a King. We could tolerate corruption and exploitation only by on person, viz. that King. All others who did wrong things were punished.
Now What we have is, thousands of Kings in the form of MLAs or MPs and the Baboos in the bureaucracy.
They want to loot, loot and only loot.
India does not have enough for them.
Now, You tell me, when our country will develop.
Give it up...... please give it up......
You and me ... we are not going to see a straving villager get food two times a day round the year.... to get all his children educated atleast up to SSLC in the Govt. Schools...... to make his family live in roofed house .....
No.. roti...... No kapada ....... no makan..... no education....
this is what more than 50% of the India has now....... Can any one deny it.......
Give it up..... please ... give it up......
Let us remove the word development from the dictionary..

India, huh... well, let's see.
You still have systems in place that allow a privileged few to abuse and mistreat those they consider "inferior" - the "untouchables" - strike one.
You aren't able to support yourselves, but depend on foreign aid. Strike 2
Allowing cows to roam the streets freely, poor sanitation, lack of a valid infrastructure, and the majority of your people living well below the poverty level - Strike 3
You're undeveloped.
