You should start by reading the poem.

See what jumps out at you - is it descriptive? Does it try to convey emotion or vision through words?

Observations are just that - describing something you see, feel, maybe even something you remember when you read.

You should read it and take notes about it.
Highlight things that catch your eye, make you feel a certain way or confuse you.
What is it about? What kind of images come to your mind when you read it? What are some of the feelings it give you when you read it?

That's easy:

Read it and write down what comes to mind. If you know a little about poetry you can even say it reminds you of....(other poem, a summers breeze, I hate poetry)

Don't be to 'intellectual' about it. It should 'speak' to you and that's what you should write down.
