When I am on one webpage if I hover over another link a lot of the time I don't even have to click to be taken to the new webpage. It is annoying. How can I fix it? I have checked the mouse properties.

go back to the mouse properties, there should be one that disallows clicks on the pad, sucks to disable it i know but thats probably your best bet

Your touchpad has the ability to click by tapping on the pad - if you keep your finger on the pad it won't do it.

You might be able to set the 'pad tap for click speed' or something. If you use your computer at a desk sometimes, just get an external wireless mouse that plugs into your USB (or get a docking bay so you just plug the computer in). You can still use the touch pad when you away from a desk though most touchpads are pretty lousy.

I would imagine that you could also set the sensitivity of the pad..
if that doesn't help, do like i did, get a mouse and disable the pad... I hatttte that thing..
