A bacteria known as Listeria is common in soft cheeses. In non pregnant people, it's relatively harmless, but if ingested while pregnant it can cause Listeriosis which can lead to miscarriage.

Avoid eating ANY soft cheese - feta, brie, camembert, soft Mexican etc.

As for cream cheese - please check the label and see if it's pasteurized. If in doubt, don't.

Congrats!
Cream cheese is not bad for you. When they talk about soft cheese, they mean unpasteurized cheeses like Brie and some others. Go have some cream cheese! And for other cheeses, just check the label and be sure it's pasteurized.

I'm 40 Wks today, and I've been having the same ''sharp'' pains that punch downwards at my cervix. From what i've been told by my doctor, it's normal- and to expect it.. It's more than likely your cervix effacing and dialating. Get ready to go into labor soon, you're almost there!

Well, it may not be bad for you, but I'd limit how much I ate because it is extremely high in calories and fat. It doesn't seem like a big deal now, but in about 38 weeks, after the baby is born and you've recovered, you'll be wondering how to drop the baby fat.

Trust me, it's been twelve years for me and I'm still wondering ;-)
