The heat meter always fills when I'm going to get the last crate. I know you are supposed to avoid the burning crates to stop the meter increasing quickly, but you have to go near them sometimes.
I've done the mission about 10 times now, I've given up. It's soooo frustrating! I'm finding it difficult to drive and operate the forklifts at the same time aswell, I was told to do both at the same time to save time, but I find it difficult to press so many buttons at once.

That mission took me ages as well. There isn't any trick to it, it's just like you said, aviod the flaming crates. Have a break for a while and then go back to it.

I think that the "Boomshine Blowout" is called "Mission : Boomshine Saïgon" in the french version of GTA-Vice City. (If not, do not pay attention to what is following)
Under the effect of a boomshine, Phil has his arm exploded, he should be led to the hospital, but you see disorder because of alcohol.Once arrived at the hospital, he should be led in Little Havana, meadows of the automobile concession.
Once this made, you will have the possibility of buying weapons at Phil.
I know it is frustrating but you need to drive AND operate the forklifts at the same time even if it is difficult for you to do it (it has been a bit difficult for me the first time I played GTA Vice City !).
And you know ?... I have been frustrated too because in general I play a video games in one week maximum !(particularly GTA's)... and at this time it took me nearly a month to finish the game only because of that "Boomshine" mission that I have done plenty of times ! ... I wanted to give up but finally I won !
So just be cool and don't think about the numerous times you have passed on this mission... Just do the mission as if it was the first time you were doing it, do not repeat the mistakes you have still done before, and everything will be OK !
