I am from the micro-nation of Zenbabwe.
I applaud George Butch for his actions against the enemies of peace.

I'm Australian. I believe that George W does a terrible disservice to the American people. I believe that he was infact not democratically elected, but allowed to be in his position by a flawed and ultimately corrupt system where tenders for voting machines fell into the hands of his co-horts. I believe that the war in Iraq is illegal, has nothing to do with terrorism, and everything to do with oil. A very long bow was drawn between 9/11 and Iraq/Saddam. That said, it is a sad fact that our own Prime Minister is in bed with George W and I look forward to voting our Mr Howard out at the end of the year.
I think I have made it fairly clear how I fell about your pres and the war in Iraq.
I also look forward to a time when American popular culture (shows such as 24) can get off the anti-Muslim band wagon, find some interesting plot lines instead of going for the cheap shots!
Peace to the Iraqi people!

I am from the UK (white English middle class) I think bush is a war criminal, who couldn't tell the truth if some wrote it on a board and held it up in front for him to read.
The war in Iraq is wrong barmy bush is just a greedy pig going after the oil.
I would get banned if I said what I think about bush, so I will have to make do with saying he is incredibly stupid ill educated, with no grasp of foreign policy, or any interest in anything other than lining his own pockets. He is a mas murderer and it is looking likely he will start another killing spree in Iran

President Bush is your president and your leader I do have respect for his leadership role but sometimes I do question the execution towards the solutions and I wonder what would another president do if he was in the same position(maybe it would have been the same)
I also have great respect for the American soldiers in Iraq. I'm feel very sad for the Iraq (country and the people including the children).

the war in iraq is a humiliating failure for the united states, an embarassment to the world's most powerful nation that stiffened it's necked not to succumb to the clear and obvious fiascoes it has ever done in its history, albeit after the invasion of afghanistan which yields a promising success, so with the occupation of iraq based on the earlier assumed victory has proved them wrong...but US don't wan't to accept it, perhaps he thinks that he'll be emasculated or something. the thing is, if they were able to do it in vietnam? why not iraq?

I'm British but I live in Ireland.
Perhaps it's just the media spin we get here, but Bush basically comes across as an idiot. A charasmatic, powerful idiot, unfortunately (especially for the masses of young men and women he has sacrificed for this war and their bereaved families).
Most people I've talked to are aghast at how the propaganda machine still has so many Americans supporting Bush. But then perhaps we only think that because of our corresponding propaganda macahines!
It all smacks of the film "Wag the dog" (have a war to garner public support). Have you seen it?

Iam Lebanese and so proud of it.
I blame Bush for invading Iraq, since he didn't based it on facts, but just lies. And also, because he didn't planed for what next, after the invasion.
Today iam really sad for what's happening to the American troops, after they fall into the Iranian hands which are controlling everything in Iraq and commiting genocides against innocent civilians.
Hope the situation get better, and i pray to GOD to save lives of everybody on Iraqi lands.

The United States remains, for the moment, the most powerful nation in history, but it faces a violent contradiction between its long republican tradition and its more recent imperial ambitions.
The fate of previous democratic empires suggests that such a conflict is unsustainable and will be resolved in one of two ways. Rome attempted to keep its empire and lost its democracy. Britain chose to remain democratic and in the process let go its empire. Intentionally or not, the people of the United States already are well embarked upon the course of non-democratic empire
