Blue Skied means feeling secure. Blue Sky laws means laws that give on implementation the basic security everyone looks for. Think of a blue sky above you. You feel very scecure at that time, so on implementation of the law will make you feel secure as if you are under the Blue Sky.

Blue Skied refers to State approval for sale of a registered security. After an investment is registered with the SEC, the investment then needs to be registered with each state. Many states adhere to the same registration guidelines and if the securities structure meets those guidelines, then it will be approved in many states at once without having to file in each state separately.

The term Blue Skied means cleared in that state - like clear blue sky.

Securities have to be registered in each state in which they are offered. The laws regarding this are called "Blue Sky" laws, why, I don't know.

To have a product "Blue Skied" means that it has been registered in your state as can be offered for sale.
