When you load your dishwasher, do you put all the forks in one bit, spoons in another, and knives in the next etc. ?

Because my brother mixes them all up, and it makes me feel sad for him.

I sort them, all forks together, etc.

Makes it easier to grab them and put them away when they are done...

Yes, I put dishes into the dishwasher all throughout the day. By the time I start the dishwasher at night, the silverware is all mixed together.

I divide them up so each compartment has the same number of each utensil. I have put them in "groups" before, but the spoons seem to spoon each other and stick together.

Mixed up, they go in as they fall. Not sharp knives though, my hubbie needed 4 stitches after THAT incident

I mix them too because I don't enjoy doing the job! I would usually arrange everything together with it's kind, but not when it is something I am not in the mood of doing!

I put them each in thier separtate spot.
Spoons with spoons, forks with forks, and so on.

That's the only way to correctly use the dishwasher...end of discussion!

Sometimes I amaze myself. I am 43 years old and until this very moment it never occurred to me that if you put them all together it will be easier to put them away. See, you can learn something from a young female hippo on P&S. This will change my life.

If you read the destruction's for your dishwasher it does actually tell you not to put the same utensils in together, but to separate them.
