Enthusiasm, joy. Being "in love" with a particular person is one version. Converting deeply to a religion can be the same. For some True Believers a Cause can generate such passion. It arises from a peceived alignment. It is similar to the love that is felt by advanced mystics.

But don't worry, once the novelty has worn off, you will no longer feel quite so overwhelmed by these feelings. But this is why a lot of men are unable to commit to one relationship. They can get themselves seriously addicted to that naturally produced high.
