Gasparilla (you missed it, it was 17 days ago). It surpassed Mardi Gras last year as the biggest parade in America. 600,000 people attended this year

March is good beach weather (barring the occassional cold snaps). It's the start of Spring Break. April is good, too.

The average high in Tampa during March is 76° while the average for April is 81°. I would definitely say April as the weather in March can be quite unpredictable. If you could go in May, even better, the average for May is 86°. I have found that May and October are great months to visit Florida.

Yeah, March is maybe the best time to go to Tampa. I lived there for a couple of years, and you can get a tan threre all year long. But it is not to humid or hot in March, and you can get nice and brown without suffering too much like in the summer. The big festival is Buchaneer Days, and it is cool. Go downtown where they close off the streets and you can drink and party with the locals. I can't remember when they have that. But go in March. You'll love it. Happy travelling!

Nope... I have family in Tampa, so i've been at all times of the year. I got in the gulf water once in late March and it was COLD! You might still be able to be in a swimsuit, but there's a high probability of rain in March, so it might still be cloudy. I'd definitely wait until April. By then everything will be blooming and the weather will be nice.

March is a great time for hanging out at the beach. It's not too hot yet and most of the spring break kids aren't here. April is nice too, but things tend to be more crowded.

i might say Tampa Bay section. Orlando is sooooo crowded and the traffice is relatively depressing. The Tampa Bay section consists of the outer factors including Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and so forth.. and that they've a lot to furnish, devoid of the "huge city" sense. There are a lot of eating places, beaches, and so forth...

Gasparilla! You missed it already, it was at the end of January, and last weekend. (There's a couple parades) I would say April would be a little better than March-- March might still be a little cool.
