can't think of anything as random as salad cream. are you sure that's the worst smell IN THE WORLD. If blindfolded, and all the smelliest smells were presented before your nose one at a time and salad cream was somewhere in the middle, I think you'd like it...have a go, sounds tempting yes?

Easy - even thinking of this is going to make me gag - there is a "toilet" on the border of Russia and Belarus, its a concrete hole in the ground and many many people over that last couple decades have missed. When i went last year, we got stuck at the border for 6 hours and it was the only toilet fascility - you could smell it from about 50 metres away, and there was a wall of flies about 5 metres thick next to the door, it was covered in blood, urine and poo. totally totally totally gross!
needless to say we decided the bushes were a better option even if the we did have to dodge the soldiers with machine guns!

This is totally disgusting but ....
I did a bit of work in an old peoples home and one of the women had a boul problem where she had to where a bag for all the rubbish in her body.
Well she forgot to change it now and again and oh my god did that stink.... I can explain how bad it was.
Seriously you would all say the same answer as me if you had smelt it.

fermented tofu (prepared like kimchi but with green bits)
- supposed to be a special "item" in China; i almost barfed at the smell alone.
they were using it like a spread on small rice crackers - I can eat almost anything but that couldn't even make it to the plate
