If one assumes the egg to be a chicken egg then one must define what a chicken egg is:
If: A chicken egg will hatch a chicken
Then a bypass is allowed: An animal that was not a chicken laid the chicken egg which contained the first chicken. In this case the egg came first.
If: A chicken egg is the egg that a chicken lays
Then a bypass is allowed: A chicken (that hatched from a non-chicken egg) laid an egg (a chicken egg). In this case the chicken came first.
If: A chicken egg will hatch a chicken and A chicken egg is the egg that a chicken lays
Then there may be an error of definition. If the definition of "chicken" used does not refer to "chicken eggs", then the chicken must come first, because without chickens there cannot be any chicken eggs.

In the evolution of life on Earth simple single cell organisms came first. Later more complex forms.
As far a chickens are concern. Eggs a produced from the hen. You need an egg to continue chicken life. So, if you have fertilized chicken eggs you have more chickens. Course now a days we might be able to clone chickens.

You can't say whichone exactly! but maybe the first HEN is born from an egg of a non-hen animal !!! first creatures were molecule-based! some molecules like carbon nitrogen and other! so first animal created not egg or sth like that ( if egg first created so how a dog created? by an egg!??) then some animals changed gereration to generation and we have them now in this shape!

Egg. The egg has been used for hundreds of millions of years. The "hen" is only here for a few tens of millions of years.

nothing is important you can see the same thing from both the eyes or by one eye only.
