Grand Theft Auto Question?

We have custody of my husband's 2 nephews. The boys are 7 and 9 years old. They get overnight visits with their mother and we found out yesterday that she allows them to play Grand Theft Auto while they are there. She has told them not to tell us that she lets them play that game. I know it's not a game for a child of any age to play and I know a few things about the game. Before I confront the mother with her choice of allowing them to play that game I want some more information from someone who has played the game. What kind of inappropriate things take place in the game?

I own all three games and i've finished them all. So to answer your question all three GTA games are not suitable for your nephews. But i still think it's one of the best games ever made for adults. GTA games are in the top 5 best selling games ever.

GTA III

- Violence: When you kill someone with a machine gun, you can see blood coming from their heads.

- You can kill cops, but you will get wanted stars and then police will will chase you.

- You'll get to kill other gangs.


GTA: Vice City

- Pretty much the same as GTA III


GTA: San Andreas

- Pretty much the same as GTA III and GTA: Vice City
- You can hear the main character having sex with women in the game
- Gang violence: Ballas vs. Groove St

But the truth is is their any difference between the violence and sex content in video games and in real life in news and newspapers and magazines. People just trying to cover it up saying that kids grow wrong because of bad video games. It's the same as the music industry - hip hop music. People say all you hear is b**** and S*** and ****** but theirs alot more if you listen you will hear they are talking about pain and struggle.

I love the game. However, I am 17 and used to the type of stuff that is in the game.

You mentioned that your kids are 7 and 9. This game is not appropriate for that age group. Grand Theft Auto, no matter what game in the series has profane language, drug use, sexual references, pornography, prostitution, violence, gang related violence, robbery, theft, and killing sprees. If they were older they could play, but a 7 year old shouldn't be playing this game.

all the people writing this are wrong the game is for teen but there is certain cheats you can put in to silence swears its a fun game in the game he fights to find the people who tore his family apart and he makes bonds with friends he lost its a good game there is guns but that is reality in life the creature is just trying to put reality in to a man who has lost everything my mother let me play my mother is a very good person she would never do anything to hurt my education sure there is swears but they don't go off like every 5 sec you have to hit someone in a car or something!

my dad used to let me play GTA at like... 12, so, theres nothing BBAAAAD in it. (GTA 3) .
San Andreas is rated AO then M for:

Hip/Hop
those are the things i can think of off the top of my head that are bad about san andreas. but thats why i play it, i wanna be the baddie for once.

cussing, violence, sex talk and negative response, killing(guns,weapons,and other stuff) u probably should tell them not to copy what the game does or something might happen that u probably wouldn't like.............. just trying to help but they should be playing e rated games not above till they get older .............. just saying

huh let's see depending on the GTA if it's 1 i don't know or 2. 3 their's prick's @$$hole, son of a ***** and hookers.... lots and lots of hookers..... vice city again what i said but mother ****** and a mission's you do at a porno studio. GTA san andreas all of the above and more mission's with more cussing you son of a ***** etc.... and more assassination missions. san andreas sex with gf and all have blood. vice city is the 1 i know most that has alot of naked women pic's.

This game is tottaly for ADULTS it cointaines exploited language and sex scenes also, i know all this because i have played it though i am not an adult.

A whole lot goes on in it. You can have sex with the girlfriends in it, it shows people doing drugs, you can kill people in it, and it shows blood and private parts.
