We've been planning a DW trip for a couple of weeks now. Here's the scenerio so far: going from 6/8-6/15, there will be my family (husband, 11 y.o. daughter & me), and my sister's family (her husband, 11 y.o. daughter, 14 y.o. son, & my sister). We have decided to share a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo (much cheaper/nicer than a hotel room), we're flying in & each family will get their own rental car. We are definately going to DW, Universal & the beach. We want to have plenty of things planned without overdoing it. If we mostly want to go to DW & Animal Kingdom at that park, how many days you think we should give ourselves? And how many days for Universal & Island of Ad.park? Anything else you might suggest we do? Oh, we thought a 2-day ticket to DW park would be enough & you can buy a ticket for $85 to Universal & Island with 7 days unlimited so we decided on that.

I'm a bit confused... you keep referring to "DW" as a park. Walt Disney World ("DW") is an entire resort complex containing four different theme parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney, and much more. Perhaps you're referring to the Magic Kingdom theme park - I can't be sure. Anyway, I'll try to answer each of your questions...
"If we mostly want to go to DW & Animal Kingdom at that park, how many days you think we should give ourselves?"
Well, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is within Walt Disney World, so you can't go to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park without going to "DW." It takes about one day to complete Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. It's the largest of the four Walt Disney World theme parks, but there aren't as many attractions. Now, if by "DW" you mean the Magic Kingdom, I'd give that two days. It's a large park and there's a lot of attractions. It's also the most popular of the four theme parks, so it takes longer to do everything. The Magic Kingdom really requires at least two days to see and do everything, but if you can get quite a bit done if you're there all day, from open to close, and don't leave or take many breaks.
"And how many days for Universal & Island of Ad.park?"
One or two days. The Universal theme parks are nothing compared to the Walt Disney World theme parks, and they certainly don't offer as many attractions or things to do. Most people can complete both theme parks in one day, or even less. The Universal theme parks have a few big roller coasters. That's the only reason worth going, so it doesn't take long at all to complete the Universal theme parks.
If I were you, I'd spend four days at the Walt Disney World theme parks and visit all four of them. I'd only spend one day at the Universal theme parks. Actually, I wouldn't even bother visiting the Universal theme parks, but if you're going to, just go for one day. You can split the day between Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure, and that'd be plenty of time. Then you can spend the last two days traveling to and spending time at the beach, since the beach is at least an hour or two away, east or west.
Hope I could help! Have fun!

I would spend a little more time at Disney World - there are 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, Downtown Disney and much more.
When we go (usually once per year) we do at least 4 days at Disney- one day at each theme park. If you want to check out each park in your 2 days, you might want to consider adding the park hopper option to your disney tix. This will increase the price a bit, but you will be able to enter 2 parks on the same day. So go and spend a morning at Animal Kingdom (where you would want to go to Kilimanjaro Safari ride when the park FIRST opens. It will probably be the coolest time of day and you will see more animals on the safari.) Then go spend the evening at Epcot, Magic Kingdom or MGM. These are all GREAT parks and each one has a fantastic fireworks show. Epcot & MGM actually have more of a water/fireworks/ light show. Each is awesome!
Universal is basically 2 theme parks- so while the price is right ($85.00) , the fact that they are offering 7 days unlimited isn't really much of an offer. (you most likely wouldn't spend 7 days there!) But definitely worth the money even for just spending 2 days there!!

Let me make sure I understand your question, you are basically just wanting to know how long to go to each park? If so, this is what I would say.
When you say Disney World, are you referring to Magic Kingdom? For Magic Kingdom I would say that you will need at least one whole day, two would allow you to see a lot more and also go at a more relaxing pace. You are going during the summer, so you may not be able to get as much done as you would during school since there will be more people.
For Animal Kingdom, it just depends. Again, I would say a day, but most people can do most everything in a half day. You could spend the rest of the day at Magic Kingdom so you can spend more time there. If you only do a two day pass, this would give you more time at Magic Kingdom. If you plan to go to fireworks or parades, keep in mind that will take up at least an hour for each since you need to get there early so you can actually see and have a good location.
For Universal and Islands of Adventure, since you have the long pass you can really go as much as you like. Even if you go somewhere else but get done early, you can always go. But, in general, I would say a day to a day and a half. Universal always goes a lot faster for me.
Have a great time!

It would be a shame to miss Disney MGM! They have the best shows! A five day DW pass wouldn't be much more than a two day, and you would have the option of seeing much more. Be sure to give yourself time to rest between the parks.
You should get "The Unofficial Guide to Disney World" before you go. You will find many many tips that will make your trip more organized and informed.
If you go to the beach, plan a trip to Cape Canaveral.
