People who tuck tail and run from the most important debate in this country aren't fit to be a United States Senator.

Well, that's exactly what Republicans are doing right now. The tricks that they are pulling in the Senate to avoid a real debate on Iraq are pure political cowardice.

Behind all the sound and fury you're hearing in the media is a simple fact. Republicans are using a bunch of procedural nonsense and bogus amendments to prevent an up or down vote to see where each Senator stands on George Bush's plan to escalate the war in Iraq. Everything else is just commentary.

These Republicans just don't get it. The American people made it real clear in November that they have had it with George Bush's war. But Republicans apparently still haven't gotten the message.

You are wrong on all counts. In the US, we have a representative republic: that means we vote in our representatives and trust them to make the best decisions for us. Majority does not rule. Polls by the main stream media do not rule. A non-binding resolution is a ridiculous idea. It means nothing. It amounts to nothing. We do not fight wars by committee. It is the responsibility of the President to make those decisions. The President was elected by the electoral college, so he represents us but he is not voted in by the people.
I am a conservative. I think the Republicans are too weak when it comes to dealing with the left-wing wackos who pollute the Senate right now.
Get some back bone. Learn to face up to our enemies. Don't be afraid to let the military fight terrorists when and where they are found. That is what the military does to protect you. And you complain?

to be a Liar, that doesn't mean that everyone is forced to
elect liars!!!
Bush made President AGAIN after 911!!! Grow up!

obviously we do not agree with you or what you say. Look, just because the mainstream media tells you a "majority of people" doesnt mean it is true. If it were we'd have very boring conversations on yahoo answers now wouldnt we. Why do you still beleive what you watch on ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN????????

The only debate the dems want is a debate to FAIL in Iraq, why do you not want to win??

Republicans are trying to stop the Terrorist Supporters.
They are cool.
Too bad they weren't this cool before the election.
They are trying to show the Democrats for what they really are.
Democrats want to keep it secret from the people.

The Republicans loss in November was due to them getting away from conservative ideas and failure to get rid of cancers like the child molester. The people saw them as becoming like democrats and didn't bother to vote.
