The Grammy's have little to do with it. I listen to the Dixie Chicks because I like their music. They are also quite pleasant to look at. The Dixie Chicks make great music. That's why their records sell. The corporate promoters didn't promote their concerts in Poddunk. At a global level who needs Poddunk? Most of the mainstream country artists, today, are closer to southern rock than pure country, any way. They're singing redneck songs with electric guitars and a rock beat. Toby Keith is more like Lynard Skynard than Buck Owens. The Dixie Chicks get back to country roots, using a fiddle and acoustic guitar with excellent vocals. They are also very hot!
I don't hang on their every word, though. Do you hang onto Toby Keith's every word just because he's an ignorant, redneck name caller or that he has the backing of all the back woods country music radio stations?

Remember when Hellery Clinton said she wasn't No'
Tammy Wynett singing,"Stand By Your Man"?
Boy did she flippity flop didn't she?
But when a country singer or singers sings a song about
Killing your man,She & her crowd wanna reward it!!!
Could she have pent up hatered in her against all men?
Is this something to watch out for?
To a libber/dem,any attention is better than none no matter
how low it is,or how they got it. Look what they'll do for a
few crumbs? They aren't able to see the clear difference
between reality & fiction, fantasy and the real world!
They do tend to hang on the words of country song writers
and the country singers & anyone who sings their praises
or behaves like they do. It's a classic trait in Demolibs!!!

You mean like how conservatives hang on every word that the druggie Rush Limbaugh says? Seriously, I couldn't care less what they said or what they won. The Grammys are nothing but a popularity contest.

Why would you say that? Just because they speak truth to power i9s no reason to boycott anyone. The won five grammys, not a grammy. And how did they do with the country music awards? Thats right, not even a nomination. But thats what I expected from backwoods, red neck podunks.

I'm liberal but I really don't care for the music of the Dixie Chix. It's a point of musical taste, not political opinion.

Just sit back and enjoy the show, the liberal circus, that is. It will be fun to watch them all walking around in bewilderment and shock when they lose another election...

I don't know are the dixie Chix now liberal? I always thought the individuals picked the party, not the party picked the individuals. Wow does that mean the Bush Adminstration picked Brittney Spears? Wonder if they dropped her since her pantiless incident?

I always respected them. If the flag waving NASCAR Bush-supporters don't like them, so what? They are not writing songs for that audience anyway. Those are not their people. You should be happy with Toby Kieth and Reba. Its a sweet, sweet vindication against the Country and Western uber patriots. I too am ashamed Bush came from Texas and somehow wound up being president. Go Chicks !

Won a Grammy? They walked away with the top awards, which goes to show that their creative abilities are not impacted by their political philosophy.
