why didn't you ask for the day off from work? that would have been better than skipping class when you might miss something important. can you switch shifts with someone? if not, as long as there are no tests or anything, see if you can get someones class notes and skip. i hope you have a nice birthday!

Apparently you are very upset about this, so I say skip class and celebrate your birthday. On Valentines, why can't your boyfriend bring you your present to work. Maybe you will have a delivery:) Ask someone in your class to take notes for you, perhaps tape record the class.

You are just going to have to make your own decision...that's part of maturing. I personally don't skip out on prior commitments to celebrate days as mundane as my birthday (once you get past the 21st one, they aren't quite as fun.) However, I was in your shoes at one point in my life....I did skip classes for a variety of reasons, and I still got my degree.
It's really going to have to be your decision.

You should ask someone to switch scheduals with you at work. And if that isn't enough time for you, you should skip class too. I had a CRAPPY birthday one year because of work.

celebrate your birthday & valtines day on the weekend like me & my wife are. i work late & the weekend is the best time fo us to celebrate any thing. this way you can have full time with your boyfriend & not be tired from trying to celebrate those things on the day that you both are busy & tired. but you can do sepical things like send him flowers & stuff you know he will like. as well as he could do for you.

It depends on how old you are. Grownups get on with it.
