Yes ,it surely matters from which board you are while seeking admission in any university.But i think DU gives preference to CBSE syllabus.if you are thinking to switch on to new syllabus ICSE ,it would be better you think twice,as you may change your syllabus you will always find some difficulties ,if you take to ICSE it would be tough for you as it higher in standard than CBSE.You will take time to adjust yourself to the new portion,thus a wastage of time ,which is very crucial in 11 Th grade.

Icse is of high standards but cbse is comparitively low..Changing to State Board from Cbse will definitely help in getting state ranks if u are an intelligent student..But u will have difficulties if u change to Icse from cbse.I think u should change to state board or not change at all.Anyway All the Best!

There is no great difference between ICSE and CBSE .Both are having exactly same syllabus and only difference is in the way both boards are presenting the matter.
So many schools follow CBSE and very few follow ICSE ,and AIEEE and AIPMT both are conducted by CBSE so why do you have to change the board in11th std ?
