ok, so next month on the 18th I am turning 13. Bigness right? Well, anyways, I am having a problem with the "theme". I was thinking a spa theme. But I mean I am turning 13 and I want something BIG! and I don't want it to be too childish yet I want to have fun. Does anyone have any answers to any of these problems? Have any sites? PLZ HELP ME!?!?!?

The bottom line is its YOUR birthday, you should do what you want, and what you think would be the most fun, and memorable. Just do whatever you think you, and your friends will have fun doing.

If you want it to be memorable, try thinking "outside the box." Do something original that nobody you know has done before. Personally I do think a spa theme would be alot of fun if you do it right. But if you plan on having a co ed party, be warned guys probably won't be too thrilled with a spa theme.

If you do want to go with the spa theme, there are some things you can do to make it fun and memorable.

1. Try looking up different recipes for things like home made masks, lotions, exfoliants, etc. That can be part of the activities, is making the stuff your going to use.

2. This could be a bit costly, but why not buy a bunch of plain robes, wash cloths, or towels and have your friends decorate them. Or you could even have special ones made with your friends names, and or your b-day so its a keepsake your friends will have for a long time.

3. If you want to have a professional come in, try calling local beauty schools, and see if you can get one or more of the students to come out and do real facials or something. Chances are the kids from the schools will do it for little or no charge just for the experiene.

4. After you guys pamper yourselves, and look your best, you should all do your hair, and makeup, and ask your friends to bring nice outfits and do a photo shoot to show off your new looks. You can have a friend or family member be the photographer. Or you can call local high schools and colleges with photography programs and see if you can get one or more students to come out and take your pics. As with the beauty school idea, these ppl will be most likely to do the work for little or no charge.

Just be creative, and i'm sure your party will be a success. I'm assuming since you are asking this, you are worried what others will think, and as somebody who is older (I am 25) its really not that important. I still remember the politics of Jr high though, and know that people can make your life a living hell if they don't like you. And I know this sounds cliche, but honestly, later in life you won't care about that. You won't care if the "popuar" kids didn't approve of your 13th b-day plans, all you will care about, and remember is how it went, and what fun you had. You and your friends probably have alot in common, so chances are if you like the idea, so will they.

nope, cant help. Go to the beach... forget about a theme, too much to worry about if something isn't right...
Don't lose your virginity, hoping you'd still have it...
Don't forget about those who love you, that aren't going to be around forever.
If it means you lose half a day or you invite them to your party and they embarass? you or you barely see them, and you're not so thrilled, think of it as one more year you made them happy.
Having a birthday, or.. getting one more year older... should be about who you spend it with, that you are spending it.... that you're... purchasing others happiness... i mean i know it's your day, but it's not just about you. It's about having fun and sharing the happiness, sharing yourself with the ones you love, and the ones that love you. ok give you a break you're only 13.....
I just turned 23, and i cant rememeber the last time i had a party that actually involved more than a cake and a camera... i never had a 21st or an 18th or a "sweet" 16th...... but i never really cared for that.. i didnt want the fuss..... can only think that maybe it would have been nice if i had those i loved around me, that i took that for granted when i was younger.....
Whatever you decide, enjoy it, if it's not perfect, you have next year..... but you dont need a birthday to celebrate life......
N i remember when although things never seemed easy.. looking back they were the easiest...
Oh, you want something not too childish... why not just act like a child.. isn't that the most fun anyone can have.. oh not when you're meant to be all grown up and proper
LOL..
Happy birthday and goodluck...

well if ur having an all girl party it might be fun to do a spa party but i wouldnt do it if ur going to have more that 8 ppl. a beach party would be fun and easy u can make it like a luau and put a volleyball net up. if u dont live next to a beach think about mayb going to a public pool and possibly renting it out for a few hours. Pool and beach partys are fun no matter what age u are. and the best things about that is u dont really have to worry about a theme. Rollerskating is a fun alternative. If ur town has a skating ring u can rent that out. www.orientaltrading.com has some party ideas and supplies. hope that helps.

I love the Spa theme. And believe me it's fun for any age, b/c we did it for my bridal shower.
If you are going to do a Spa party, I would invite less people and do more activities or have more goodie bags.
They sell Spa Gift bags, but I think it's more fun to create your own bags. Loofahs, sponges, body creams (bath and body outlet has great creams for cheap) nail polish, hair accesories like the new head bands that are in.
If you guys wear make-up, you can contract a Mary Kay Consultant to do a party at your house and she'll probably bring games.
For the shower we had a woman come with her massage table and give massages.
If it's going to be an all day affair.... do the spa thing early, all you girls can get ready afterwards and then go out to dinner somewhere nice.

if it is going to be a boy/female party you may play honey i admire you yet i basically will no longer be able to grin. the assumption is you may say something to the guy who's "it" yet they are able to't crack a grin. in the event that they do they're out and the hot man or woman will become it. there is often passing the lifesavor between gamers utilising toothpicks held interior the mouth or in case you do no longer choose that close of touch attempt the orange under the chin. Scavanger hunts are continually relaxing. Divide into 2 communities and supply each and each a listing of issues to locate or arise with in a given volume of time. I enjoyed the water baloon theory. for yet another sport provide definitely everyone a ballon and a few string. Have them tie the ballon around there ankle with some length. the assumption is to pop definitely everyone elses ballon mutually as conserving yours risk-free. final man or woman with a ballon is the winner. conceal and seek for on the hours of darkness is often relaxing. bar-b-q is basically about a would desire to for something like this. wish this helped and which you have relaxing.

When you're 30 you won't remember what you did for your 13th birthday so it doesn't really matter in the bigger scheme of things. Just make sure you have good friends and family with you. And don't do the typical 13 year old thing and whine until your parents go into bankruptcy so you can have the biggest party on the block.

Go with a Summer Wonderland theme! In other words, make it feel like a luau even though it may be freezing cold outside. Believe me, this is Fun!

The mall
Go out to the mall with your best of buddies.
dig out all the money from any nooks and cranies.
then you can eat at a restaurant and do something teenagy
maybe get a new wardrobe
wear some make up (eye liner, it makes you look older and cooler)
try something alse you can think up
HAVE FUN!!
