1. Smokers alveoli are coated black thats its gross appearance while its not the case in non-smokers
2. smokers alveoli have sclerosized epithelia(damaged and inflammed), in contrast to non-smokers
REASONS: the smoke (chemicals-nicotine) from the ciggarates causes inflammatory changes which reduces the capacity of gaseous diffusion across the alveolar-capillary membrane and therefore the smoker's lung work less well

the smokers alveoli usually dry and it is not functioning well, this is because when the people smoking, the ingredient in the cigaratte has the ability to remove the fluid from our lung.and because of that the lung will become dry and this can give the effect to the diffusion process between the alveoli and the blood capillary.because of that the smokers usually tend to have the breathing difficulties.and this will effect to the colour of the lung.the lung will change its colour to become more darker.this changers of the lung colour is due to the deficiency of the gases exchange.

non smokers alveoli do not have the effect as i mantion above.but it will get the same effect if we breath the air that was contaminated from the cigaratte smokes.
so, never and ever try to be a smokers.....it was the silent killer in this world.
